At Rijo Athletics Baseball, we have years of experience getting players seen and recruited by both college and pro scouts. Since 2000, we have placed over 90% of our student athletes in college. The important part to understand here is that each kid that has come through this program has ended up at a collegiate program where they were "wanted" versus where they hoped to make the team. Our goal is to give each student athlete a chance to compete right away as a freshman in college. There are so many different opinions on where to go and who to contact to obtain a college scholarship or college placement. Some of the questions may be:
At what age do we start?
What showcases or tournaments are best to attend?
Who do I contact?
When do I contact them?
What's the best way to contact them?
The good news is that we have the answers to all of these questions and the majority of other questions you may have. Not only is our goal to help you get placed in college but to find what the best fit is. Meaning, some players excel at smaller colleges and others at larger universities depending on what type of education the student athlete is looking for and the ability of what level he can play at. All of these factor in on finding the best fit. This takes time - it is not a quick fix. On the average it takes us about 6-9 months to narrow it down to a select few.
Since 2004, we have had over 38 Rijo players were drafted by Major League baseball teams. Plus, hundreds were able to attend great colleges, play college ball and receive full or partial scholarships.
